In this modern age media is a very important source of medium. It is an important means of communicating, disseminating information, educating, promoting business, entertaining, promoting something, keeping abreast of world events and communicating ideas to the public. Media that includes printed media، electronic media, web media and social media can be used positively to achieve good goals. The media plays an important role in shaping the minds of the people and promoting law and order. News, programs and advertisements promoting peace are broadcast through the media. Media includes printed media including newspapers, books, magazines, journals and pamphlets, electronic media including television, radio, computers, smart phones, projectors and other electronic gadgets, social media including software such as Instagram, Face book, Twitter and WhatsApp etc. and web media including various search engines and software like YouTube etc. Through these media, articles, written messages, statements, audios, videos, experiences and advices of scholars and artists are sought to improve the peace situation. Through which the state of peace in the society and the country is maintained, people get knowledge and are aware of the information and situation of the world. Some people use the media in a negative way for their own worldly gain، which leads to misconceptions and bad elements in the society. This article discusses the positive role of media in promoting peace and the negative use of promoting evil in society. This article also discusses the disadvantages of using negative media and the benefits of using it positively. This is an analytical study and data is gathered from secondary sources; books, articles and online sources.The society can be made ideal by using the positive side of the media, but the positive side of the media is very little used and the negative side is used a lot. The negative use of unwanted media has had a negative impact on people's thinking, character, behavior and mood, due to which there is a negative change in customs, culture and civilization, lifestyle, standing and mutual relations. The young generation has become a victim of misguidance. Cheating, deceiving, being deceitful, resorting to lying, disrespecting others, disrespecting elders and misrepresenting are considered perfection. Due to the negative use of media, people have started to behave in a way less way, they have started to live life aimlessly.
