1. About
The Journal of Finance and Accounting Research (JFAR) is a multidisciplinary international journal of the Department of Banking and Finance, Dr Hasan Murad School of Management (HSM), University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, Pakistan. JFAR is committed to publishing high-quality studies in finance and related fields and is widely circulated, both nationally and internationally. Accounting, Finance & Auditing are seen as essential components for the successful implementation of market-based development policies supporting economic liberalization in rapidly emerging economies. JFAR publishes research articles and reviews within the whole field of Accounting, and it will continue to provide information on the latest trends and developments in this ever-expanding subject.

JFAR promotes thinking on various facets of finance, targeted at academicians, scholars, and professionals associated with the field of finance to promote pragmatic research by disseminating the results of research in finance, accounting, auditing, Islamic banking, investment management, economics, and information in relation to finance. It currently publishes open access, online, and peer-reviewed articles covering a wide range of academic disciplines. The journal is published in both print and online versions.

The ambition of JFAR is to become a recognized top-tier journal, acclaimed for redirecting international financial and accounting research and studies for defining new directions.

2. Mission
JFAR’s mission is to serve as an eminent forum for the promotion and dissemination of contemporary research in all the major fields of finance and accounting by publishing theoretical and empirical scholarly research articles.

3. Vision
JFAR envisions sharing of knowledge through the free exchange of ideas and improving communications within and between the academic communities, policy, and operational decision-makers at financial institutions and regulators.

4. Aims and Objective
JFAR aims to provide an outlet for increasing the flow of scholarly research in finance and accounting. As reflected by our broadly based editorial board, the JFAR balances empirical, theoretical and conceptual scholarly contributions.

JFAR welcomes original research contributions that provide meaningful insights into the subject areas. We feel privileged to invite scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to send their and scholarly contributions to the journal. The JFAR is a peer-reviewed journal with a review procedure based on the double-blind principle.

Our mission is guided by the core values:

The core focus of JFAR is on theoretical developments their implementation, empirical, and policy-oriented significant and new research all the major areas in finance and accounting. Its focus is on applied research and bridging the gap between financial theories and practice. In this journal, there are no charges or fee associated with submitting to or publishing. However, we highly encouraged all papers from the related field in any region or country.
